A beluga is a small white whale that is found in the Arctic Ocean. Most belugas grow to be from 10 to 15 feet long. The beluga is sometimes called the white whale. It also has been called the sea canary because of the sounds it makes. The Inupiat and Yupik Eskimos hunt this whale a lot when there aren't any bowheads to capture. The beluga is captured for its meat and oil.
