The Lexington Historical Societywas very helpful to us in this project. In addition to the oral informationthey gave us, they also gave us permission to use copyrighted photographsowned by the society. These include all of the pictures of Buckman Tavern,the Hancock-Clarke House, the Minute Man Statue, and Monroe Tavern. Otherhistorical society photographs are the historic drum and pistol photographand the photograph of the statue of Captain John Parker.
