Hypothermia means to lose your warmth and heat. You can die from hypothermia. Hypo means under your original temperature, and thermia means very little heat. Mushers can get hypothermia when they are mushing in weather that can get to 50 degrees below 0. It can happen to you or anybody else, even when you swim in cold water or get wet outside while playing. One way for a musher to stay warm is to make gorp, and to have good gear such as a quality coat, boots, mitten, snow pants, hat and snow goggles. This is very important.
