During the 15th and 16th century, architects like Michelangelo and Bernini developed a new style called Baroque mixing curves and lines in their architecture. They added decorative sculptures and paintings to their buildings. This decorative style reached its height in a further refined version called Rococo. The best example of this can been seen in the Palace of Versailles in France.
