Architecture Through The Ages

Central High School Omaha, NE, copyright: Columbian ThinkQuest team.

For the last two years, the Omaha Public Schools has sponsored an Architecture Exposition for all fifth and sixth graders throughout the district. Students are invited to build an original structure with a floor plan and narrative essay. Students are judged on their understanding of the design process and the application of design elements in their structures. Our purpose in creating these pages is to provide background information for future architecture students. Use the links below to browse through our site pages for historical information and examples of architectural elements. Whenever you follow a link use the navigation buttons we have provided on each screen or your "Back" button in Netscape Navigator to return to our ThinkQuest Junior Architecture Index.
