Snowboarding

Here in Alaska we don't have many ski or snowboarding areas. There are huge mountains full of powder. Some mountains are so easy to go on, but others are only for experts. You have to take a helicopter, ski plane or snowmobile to the top.

Some days, the weather is just perfect. No, we cannot snowboard (or ski) in the summer. There is no snow then except on the glaciers or very high mountains. Yes, there is a ski area right here in Anchorage called Hilltop. There is a big area in Girdwood, just south of Anchorage, called Alyeska. If you come to Alaska in the winter, try snowboarding, or at least skiing.
