My Alaskan adventure began when I went on a boat ride from the Seward boat harbor out to Ressurection Bay to find some whales. Guess what! We hit the jackpot! Want me to tell you? OK, here it goes. First, we found a bear, lots of different birds, and what seemed like a million sea lions. Then we came upon the whales. First we found a mama and her baby. We watched them awhile, then came upon a humpback whale that seemed to be trying to give us a message or something. First, it would flap its' flipper and we could see the white part on the bottom. Then he flapped his tail for what seemed like forever. When he was done, he sang a really short song and started to spit water from his spout. After the whale stopped spouting, we waited a while to see if he would continue his show. The captain said it might do a grand finale, but it didn't so we left.
