Robbed at the Mall
by Charity
It was November 10, 1996. My family and I were
doing some last minute shopping at the Dimond Mall, one of the biggest malls in Anchorage.
We were parked three cars from the back entrance. A small white compact pulled up and the
guy in the front seat said to my mom, "Hey lady, give me your purse." Then the
back door opened and a guy with a gun stepped out. She handed him the purse and he grabbed
it and took off. Luckily, she had the keys in her pocket. She called 911 on the cell phone
and we went inside to wait for the policeman. She called my dad and he cancelled the
credit cards.
My mom was meeting the doctor at midnight because it was
almost time for my baby brother to be born. He was born the very next morning.
