I was up at a cabin in Talkeetna out in the middle of nowhere. You have to drive and then take a train for about a half an hour to get to my friends' cabin. Then you have to crawl in about two miles or so, on your hands and knees with your backpack on your back to get there. You are out in the middle of nowhere, no computers, no T.V.'s, no nothing. If you get hurt or sick, oh well.... There are a bunch of bears and moose and wildlife around there. Out at their cabin, they have about a hundred acres or so, there are three cabins right in a row, one right after another. My friends' mom and dad were in a cabin up the trail a ways. We were sitting in another cabin playing Monopoly when all of a sudden we heard this growl and scratches on the door. At first, we could not even figure out what it was. Then we thought it was a bear. WE WERE SO SCARED!!!! There were no windows in the cabin, so we couldn't look and see what it was. It growled again and again, and finally my friend said "I think it's going to come in, grab the gun!" I was like, "you gotta be kidding me?!" Finally I got so scared I grabbed the gun. I was standing on top of the table. We heard Gary, my friends' father coming down the trail. He starts screaming "BEAR, BEAR! Don't open the door!" My friend went into shock. The door was getting pounded in. The door fell in......and it was just the family Husky dog. We were so relieved, that we almost collapsed on the floor. "Oh, no, there was a bear on the other side of the mountain," said her dad. We said,"you don't understand what you put us through!!" He said,"Sorry," and we were like, "Yeah, right."
