Tiffeny Milbrett
1972-Present Tiffeny Carleen Milbrett was born on October 23, 1972 in Portland, Oregon. Since the age of seven she has been playing a game that has made her famous...soccer.
Her mom was her first coach. She taught her the determination that it takes to become the best. This drive would lead her into a very successful athletic career.
She attended high school in Hillsboro, Oregon. While there, she was a member of the Varsity basketball, track and soccer teams. Her honors at this level include being named Oregonian 4A Player of the Year three times, and two-time Parade Magazine All-American. She also holds the Oregon high school records with 54 goals in a season and 131 for a career.
After high school she went on to attend University of Portland (U of P). She played for U of P for five years, the first year as a redshirt, so that she could prolong her college playing career and prepare for the 1995 World Cup and the 1996 Olympics. She was honored several times while in college for her tremendous play.
In 1995 Tiffeny was a member of the national team that captured third at the FIFA World Cup in Sweden. She continued on with the national team and eventually ended up in Atlanta, Georgia at the 1996 Olympics. The USA women dominated on the field and Tiffeny scored the final, winning goal in the last game against China...the team had won GOLD!
She has since graduated from U of P with a degree in Communications Management. She remains a part of the national team that is now preparing for the 1998 World Cup, and eventually the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia.
