Wolf
The species of wolf belongs to the Canidae Family. The timber, also known as the gray wolf's scientific name is the Canis lupus. The scientific name of the red wolf is the Canis rufus. These are the two main types of wolves.
The timber wolf lives in many places. The most common ones locations are Europe, North America, and also Asia. The red wolf lives only in southeastern United States.
The adult timber wolf is up to 6.5 ft. (1.6 m) long, including the tail which takes up less than half of the body. An adult timber wolf can weigh up to 175 lbs. (80 kg). This wolf is a yellowish-gray color or a red-yellow color. The red wolf is a little bit smaller in size. The red wolf's fur is also darker than the timber wolf's.
Wolves can eat many things. The most common things that they eat are small animals and birds. Wolves also eat berries.
A female wolf can have up to 11 pups at one time.
