Puma

   The puma belongs to the Felidae family.  It's scientific name is the Felis Concolor.  The puma lives mostly in North and South America.

    The puma can be as long as 6.4 ft. (1.95 m).  The puma has a small head compared to the rest of the body.   The color of the puma may be extremely different than other pumas, depending on the place where it lives.  The puma has black spots above each eye.

    The puma hunts smaller mammals, deer and also elk.

    The female has 2 to 4 cubs per litter.  The young pumas stay with their mothers until they are about one year old.  The color of the cub's fur is dark.
