Lion
The lion belongs to the felidae family. The scientific name of the lion is Panthera Leo. The lion lives in savannahs in India, Iran, Europe, and Africa.
The male lion is 5.6 to 8.2 ft. (1.7 to 2.5 m) long, not including the tail, which is 36 to 41 in. (90 to 105 cm). The lion stands 4 ft. (1.23 m) tall. It weighs 33 to 550 lbs. (150 to 250 kg). The lion's mane can be different in length and color. The color of the fur is a brownish-yellow.
The lion hunts insects, giraffes, and zebras. These are the main foods that is hunts.
Lions breed every 18 to 26 months. There are 1 to 4 cubs in a litter. Most cubs are born with thick, spotted fur.
