HOW IT ALL GOT STARTED

Millions of years ago the world was covered in ice.The snow grew heavy, because of the great pressure, water began trickling down and freezing at the base. After the ice melted, big chunks called glaciers or icebergs floated off into the sea. This a started in Hudson's Bay Labrador region.

Once the ice had melted on land the icebergs would plow through and make hills and valleys. It would also bring great minerals for the soil. When the icecap was done moving it covered four million square miles.
