A Place Inside
By Angeline Tiamson
There's a place I know of
It's a place filled with love
Rolling hills, blue skies,
and nothing ever, ever dies.
I go here when I'm really sad
Externally, things are really bad.
But inside this place
"Bad" is not the case.
Serenity and peace take over the shore
The ripple of waves is forever more
Beautiful birds take their flight
Their graceful position a heavenly sight
Animals roam the open hills
And from sparkling lakes they drink their fills.
I am the only human here
Watching over trees, birds and deer
I take a million peaceful walks
And on my door no one knocks
For it is the door of my heart.
With this place I will never part.
