My Love
By Alice Vo Edwards

I have a sweetheart who I'll love for long;
	Sent by an Angel to stifle my tears.
Our love's the sweetest of eternal songs,
	For he loves me well and conquered my fears.
While he holds me close in his sweet embrace
	His eyes hold promise of treasures untold
And when I look upon his well loved face
	His mouth's warm honey, his hair's soft spun gold.
We smile at each other, together, one,
	Our souls bloom like flowers as spring begins,
Our love will grow stronger, though the rain falls,
	For haven't you heard? True love conquers all!
