The Mohists, followers of Mo-tzu, looked at things differently. While Confucius emphasized duty to one's family, Mohists believed in universal love. While Taoists ignored the sad state of China's peasants, Mohists taught that it was criminal for some people to live in luxury as long as there was enough food and clothing for all.
