Ancient Egypt (2500-330 B.C.)
Few cultures have received as much attention as Ancient Egypt. From movies and books to Cleopatra costumes and "Walk like an Egyptian," it's mystery and beauty seems to have entranced us. Perhaps it's their picture writing--hieroglyphics--that impress us. Or are we astounded by their building projects, like the pyramids and the Sphinx? I guess our affection for all things Egyptian is natural; they were pretty darn amazing!
