Current Genetics
Genetics is an interesting science. If you frequently watch the news, you
would know that scientists are always discovering new things about it. If you
have read about genetics' history, you would know that Mendel's peas are one example,
and in fact, that was probably the first "breaking news in genetics". But now, lets
move along to the more modern times. Ever since the 80's and even the early 70's
we have been doing some things in genetics like curing diseases, or something
else...cloning! You may know
of such things on TV, like when they make one animal look exactly the same as
another. The way cloning is done on animals(At this time, cloning has not been
done on humans) is basically by looking at the genes in one, and then passing
the exact same genes to another of its type. Cloning isn't that simple, though, and
you may have to go to some advanced genetics site to know everything about it. I
could talk forever about all the discoveries in genetics, because it is changing every day.
