Outside Computer
Inside the computer there are many diffrent things going on. Every computer needs software to tell the computer what to do. Computers do calculations by using a code of 1s and 0s(binary). Each 1 or 0 is called a bit. A byte is a group of 8 bits. Bytes are used to represent letters or data. Pulses of current depicting 0s and 1s travel electronic paths to integrated circuits and are finally outputed on the computer screen. Inside the computer is the main circuit board called the "motherboard". It is a large plastic board with electrical circuits printed on the board. The electrical components on the board control the how the electrical currents flow through the computer chips telling the computer what to do. Visit the Computer Museum and learn about the history of computers.
