Element 60 - Neodymium (Nd) sound

From neos didymos, or new twin; discovered 1885. IN a pure form it produces the only bright-purple glass known. In a cruder state, it is used to take color out of glass and to make a special glass that transmits the tanning rays of the sun but not the unwanted infrared heat rays.
