Element 30 - Zinc (Zn)
Probably from
zin, German for tin; discovered by the alchemist Paracelsus in the 16th century, though the zinc-copper alloy brass was known to the ancients. While not technically a colored metal, zinc has a bluish cast. an excellent coating metal, it is used to line flashlight batteries.
