Element 102 - Nobelium (No)
After Alfred Nobel. A 1957 claim of discovery is disputed, but nobelium was positively identified in 1958 by a team of University of California scientists. Observations were not made on nobelium itself but on atoms of fermium 250--"daughter atoms" produced by nobelium's decay.
