Popcorn

Popcorn86% of the coconut oil on popcorn is saturated fat (lard is only 38%). A small bag has 20 grams of fat (14 saturated). A large bag 80 grams of fat (50 saturated). That is almost three days worth of saturated fat. This would be the same as eating six Big Macs, that's if you skip the butter. If you choose to have butter you'll jump to 130 grams of fat.

A fourth of the theaters use canola oil instead of coconut oil, but it still has about 30 percent of its fat being trans. Fat cholesterol raiser because they use shortening instead of oil.

Candy

Candy BarA whole box or bar of some candies has very large amounts of sugar. How does 17 teaspoons in a three-ounce box of Junior Mints grab you? Stay away from Whoppers, Reese's Pieces, Nestle Crunch, Almond Joy, and KitKat. If you eat a whole oversized theater-candy box or bar of any of them you'll get close to a day's allowance of saturated fat.

Soda

A 32-oz "medium" Coke Classic has 300 calories and 21 teaspoons of sugar. A "large" (44-oz) Coke and a large popcorn gives you enough calories for the next 24 hours. Diet sodas contained between one and twelve calories, depending on size.
