Solar power comes from the sun's light. Solar panels convert the light into usable energy, like electricity. The solar panels are exactly what their name says. They are panels that catch the sun’s rays. Special mirrors reflect solar heat to a central reciever, which produces steam to turn special turbines. With these special machines, the solar energy is converted into electricity. Many satellites sent on a mission is equipped with solar panels so they won’t run out of energy when, for example, their batteries run out of power.
