What You'll Need

  • Two and a half single pages from a newspaper
  • A whole section of a newspaper
  • A blender
  • Five cups of water
  • A big square pan that's at least 3 inches deep
  • A piece of window screen that fits insidew the pan
  • A measuring cup
  • A flat piece of wood the size of a newspaper's front page?
    What To Do

    1.) Rip the two and-a-half pages of newspaper into small pieces.
    2.) Drop the pieces into the blender.
    3.) Pour five cups of water into the blender.
    4.) Cover the blender.
    5.) Switch the blender on for a few seconds until it is turned into pulp.
    6.) Pour about one inch of water into the pan.
    7.) Pour the blended paper(pulp) into a measuring cup.
    8.) Lay the screen into the pan.

    9.) Pour one cup of blended paper pulp over the screen.
    10.) Spread the pulp evenly in the water with your fingers.
    11.) Lift the screen and let the water drain.
    12.) Open the newspaper section to the middle.
    13.) Place the screen with the pulp into the newspaper.
    14.) Close the newspaper.
    15.) Carefully flip over the newspaper section so the screen is on top of the pulp.
    16.) Place the board on top of the newspaper and pressto squeeze out the excess water in your "paper".
    17.) Open the newspaper and take out the screen.
    18.) Leave the newspaper open and let the pulp dry for at leas 24 hours.
    19.) The next day, check to make sure the pulp paper is dry.
    20.) If it is, carefully peel it off the newspaper.
    21.) Now, use your new paper to write on!
