Pluto is the smallest planet in our Solar System and is the ninth planet
from the sun. Since Pluto is so far away from the Earth it has not been
visited by any exploring spacecraft. Pluto is named after the Roman god
of the underworld, not after Mickey Mouse's dog. In 1978 a moon was discovered
revolving around Pluto. It was named Charon. The only way Pluto can be
seen is with an extra large telescope.
