The first thing you need to do to get a savings account is pick a bank. The bank you pick usually depends on two things. These two things are the bank's location, and what the interest rate is for that bank. An interest rate is the rate of money you get, or the percentage amount the bank pays you for letting your money stay with them. You want to find the highest interest rate. The higher your interest rate, the more money you make on your saved money. Once you have done this, the rest is a piece of cake, in other words simple.
Next, you go into a bank, and tell someone who works there, that you want to open a savings account. Once you do this they will probably ask you to fill out a form. On this form you will need to give your name, your social security number, and address. These are just a few of the easy things that will be on the form. Your parents will be asked to sign the form because you are a minor. (That means you are too young to open an account by yourself.)

Now you have your own account. Well that's all there is to it. If you do happen to open a savings account then this is something you will need to fill out. The picture here is a GENERIC (generic means usually used by most banks) deposit slip which you will have to fill out, to deposit money into your account.
