You are where you only have fun and learn while having fun. This is the seventies where you better have your disco shoes on. You'll learn about the things that happen in the seventies and outsmart your parents. You can also quiz your parents about cool stuff.

Presidents:

There were three presidents in 1970s

Richard M. Nixon -----------Gerald R. Ford--------------Jimmy Carter

Richard M. Nixon was elected in 1968 and served until 1974. He was born in 1913 in a small farmhouse in Yorba Linda, California. Nixon had a nickname called Tricky Dick. His wife was Pat Ryan, and his children were Pat, and Julie. He was the first president to resign office.

Gerald R. Ford was elected in 1974 and served until 1977. He was born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1913. Gerald had a nickname of Mr. Nice Guy. His wife was Betty. His children were Michael, Jack, Steven, and Susan.

Jimmy Carter was elected in 1977 and served until 1981. Jimmy grew up in the small town of Plains, Georgia. His administration accomplished some impressive things including helping arrange a peace treaty between Egypt and Israel. His wife was Rosalyn Smith. His children were Jack, Chip, Jeff, and Amy.

Music:

The music was disco. The Bee Gees, KC and the Sunshine Band, Blondie, Diana Ross, Ohio Players, Donna Summer, and Village People were all popular in the seventies.

Heroes:

On April 8 1974, Hank Aaron hit home run number 715 off of Al Downing of the Los Angeles Dodgers to become the home run champion of all time. After 23 years playing Major League Baseball, Aaron retired in 1976 with 755 home runs and 2,297 RBIs, both Major League records. He was the last active Negro Leaguer to play in the majors.

Snoopy the dog in Peanuts was also a hero to the kids in 1970's .

Games:

Twister was popular in the 1970's , but was not invented in the 1970's , but in the 1960's.

Major Inventions or Inventors:

During the time of 1912 to 1977 Wernher von Braun, a son of a wealthy German baron, began his working life as a Hitler's chief rocket missile engineer during World War II . He ended his career as the head of the team that landed USA's 1st manned rocket to the moon.

On April 22 , 1970, the holiday Earth Day was invented. People started to teach college kids to focus on pollution of the air, land, and water. Since then Earth Day activities have included beach and park clean ups as well as tree plantings.
