Winter: If you come to Fort Larned NHS make sure to tell your parents to bring a light jacket for the day and a winter coat for night time! You should also bring lots of sweaters and dress in layers! In the colder months temperatures in the winter usually range from low to mid 40's as the high and high teens to low 20's for the low's. In the warmer fall months highs usually range from high 50's all the way up to the low 80's (pretty drastic temperature change hun?). The low's for the fall months range from low 30's up to low 50's. There is usually some snow in these winters months and very very little rainfall. So make sure to be prepared!
Summer: If visiting Fort Larned in the summer you can pack a light jacket or sweater for the evening and light clothes for the day. For the cooler spring months high tempatures will range in the low to high 70's and the lows will be in the low 40's to low 50's. In the hot summer months temperatures will be in the high 80's to low 90's in the day and low to high 60's in the evening. Expect some rain and thunderstorms- especially in July and August.
