Lake Meredith Aquatic and Wildlife Museum

Lake Meredith Aquatic and Wildlife Museum features six large realistic dioramas depicting animals in their natural habitat.

Native fish are featured in giant aquariums. Catfish, walleye, perch, small and large-mouth bass, sand bass, and blue gill are a sample of the kinds of fish you can find here.

Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument

For thousands of years, the bluffs of the Canadian River breaks were quarried for raw materials to make stone tools and weapons. Nearly every color of the rainbow is found in Alibates flint.

Come take a FREE guided tour of Alibates Flint Quarries National Monument and rangers will explain how native Americans used and dug the quarries 12000 years ago during the years A.D.1000-1500.
