The Junior Naturalist Program allows kids to discover new and exciting things about nature. This program involves discovery packs that include equipment, and activities for the kids to complete on hikes or walks around the park. When you become a Junior Naturalist your name will be posted on a chart in the visitors center and usually a the Park Ranger who reviewed your booklet will make an announcement to the visitors saying that you have completed the Junior Naturalist Program. When you complete the Junior Naturalist Program you will also receive a sticker and a pencil. It is quite simple to become a Junior Naturalist it only takes a couple of hours and an adventurous spirit.
Once you have become a Junior Naturalsit you then have the option to become a Junior Ranger. Becoming a Junior Ranger means that you will learn about Deleware Water Gap NRA in funfilled activities for the whole family.
