Trigonometric Differentiation

Trigonometric derivatives frequently seen in the Calc AP AB Test. These derivatives will never go away! As a result, every well prepared student knows the derivatives below by heart. ****Remember the Chain Rule when differentiating anything!!****

Trigonometric Derivatives
d/dx(sin x) = cos x
d/dx(cos x) = -sin x
d/dx(tan x) = (sec x)2
d/dx(sec x) = (sec x)2(tan x)
d/dx(csc x) = -(csc x)2(cot x)
d/dx(cot x) = -(csc x)2

Notice that all co functions are negative.
