SITKA SPRUCE. Sitka spruce grows only in Southeast and Southcentral Alaska and may reach heights of 200 feet.

WHITE SPRUCE. White spruce grows from 50 to 60 feet tall, where it's the most common tree in interior Alaska.

BLACK SPRUCE. Black spruce is a smaller tree. In good conditions, can grow up to 30 feet. Is often in the wet soil of muskeg and tundra, which stunts the growth.
