SNOWY OWL. A snowy owl weighs about 2 pounds and has a 5 foot wingspan. They are not pure white until they become adults. Before that they have brown spots that fade away as they mature. Their main food is lemmings, sometimes they eat hares and other birds. They live in the arctic tundra and they migrate south in the winter, or when their food source is scarce. They nest on the ground.
