GYRFALCON. This falcon is 2 feet long and has a 4 foot wingspan. They are the worlds largest falcon. Their food consists of ptarmigan, other birds, and sometimes
snowshoe hares. They live on the arctic tundra and some migrate into souther Alaska in the fall.
Gyrfalcons maybe white grey and almost black. Most in Alaska are grey. They have long pointed wings and long slender tails. They fly very fast.
