DALL SHEEP. Rams are 3-3 1/2 feet tall at the shoulders and weigh 150 to 160 pounds. Ewes weigh 110-130 pounds. They are white in color.

Lambs (usually one) are born in May or June and weigh about 5 pounds. Sheep live 12-15 years. They eat sedges, grasses, and willows. In the winter they eat lichens.

Dall sheep are found in open ridges and meadows near steep slopes in the mountains in central and northen Alaska.
