(1) Lowbush Cranberries (Lingon berries), may be Alaska's most widespread berry. They are found in forests, bogs, tundra, and alpine areas throughout the state. It is two to six inches tall.
(2) Highbush cranberries are shrubs two to twelve feet tall. They are also called "Moose berries", and are commonly found in forests, beside streams, and in thickets.
(3) Bog Cranberries grow in sphagnum bogs and peat hummocks. They are found in the coastal areas and northern forests over all but the most northern coast.
