COLUMBINE. Columbines are beautiful flowers. The flowers are 1 to 1 1/2 inches across, have five red sepals with spurs, yellow, tubular petals with extended stamen. The plants are 30 inches tall and perennial. Flowers bloom mid-June through July. They are found on wooded mountain slopes and meadows in South Central and South Eastern Alaska.
