BEAVERS. Adult beavers are 3-4 feet long including their 9-10 inch tail that is about 6 inches wide. They weigh 40-60 pounds and have a righ brown fur.

Bark and a substance called cambium from willows, poplars, birch, and aspens; herbs, ferns and grasses make up their diet.

The beavers' predators are wolves, coyotes, wolverines, lynz, bears, and people. They live near streams and rivers near willows and poplars throughout most of Alaska.
