The sole trap is use to stop a rolling ball. A ball is rolling toward you so you trap it with your sole.

When to do the Sole Trap

When the ball is coming along the ground, or about to bounce in front of you, use the sole trap.

1. First you must lock your ankle.

2. Then you well bent your toe up and put heel low to the ground.

3. Your need to slightly bend your receiving leg.

4. Now you can wedge the ball between your the sole of your foot and the ground. As you trap the ball you can move the trapping foot forward so the ball will be just in front of you, right where you need to make a pass.
