Throwing the ball is the best way for you to get it to your teammates. Punting is not the best way of getting the ball out of the area since the ball goes high and far allowing defenders to get it. It is not as accurate as the throwing the ball.

When to Throw in the Ball

1. To pass a ball to a teammate a short distance away, you should use you underhand (like throwing a bowling ball).

2. To pass a ball to a teammate up field, you should use an overhand throw. Remember to use a strong follow through in an overhand throw.
