The chest is use to control the ball in the air.
The ball is flying in the air toward you so you trap it with your chest.
The contact area is the area from the sternum to up under the neck.

How to use the Chest:
1. First you must learn to put your arm next to your chest and lean back. The arms must be kept clear since any contact with the arm will result in loss of the ball and a direct kick penalty. You must mover quickly into line with the oncoming ball because the chest should face squarely in the direction from which the ball is approaching.
2. Then as the ball hits your chest. You should cushing it causing the ball to be directed toward the ground.
3. Your move back up and the ball will move to the ground. Now you have the ball, know your next move.
