In Greek mythology, Apollosent Corvus toget spring water in a golden cup. Corvus saw a tasty fig and decided to wait forit to ripen. He forgot about his duty to serve Apollo. Fearing that Apollo would bemad about his late return, Corvus lied to Apollo and said that he wasattacked by a serpent.
