This constellation's brightest stars form arectangle. The Greeks named the constellation's two brightest starsafter the twins Castor and Pollux. The twins were among the heroeswho sailed with Jason in the quest for the Golden Fleece. They helpedsave the ship "Argo" from sinking during a storm, so theconstellation was much valued by sailors.
