Which Constellations did the Hawaiians use tonavigate?

They used constellations in their voyagebecause the stars and constellations were the only accurate readingsfor where they were located in the ocean. The sun only provideddirections for East and West.

You see, there are zenith stars used innavigation. One of the Zenith stars is located directly over Tahiti(Sirius or Aa) and one is over Hawaii (Arcturus or Hokulea)

The Hawaiians used a LOT of stars andconstellations in their voyage. They used almost EVERY constellationyou can see in the sky!
