Why did Hawaiians want to sail?

Nobody really knows why the Hawaiians wanted tosail but these are what some people believe. There are manypossibilities on why the Hawaiians wanted to sail. They could havehad too many wars or famine (no food and water) or adventure (just tohave fun), exploration (to find new places to live), humiliation (ifyou or someone in your family did something bad, you would feelshamed and run away), raiding (to take over someone elses land),colonization (to start a new community).

The Hawaiians were searching for land with lotsof mountains because mountains provide water. It's a scientific factthat clouds hang around mountains. Then the whole water cycle startsover by water vapor rising into the clouds and falling down to Earthas water droplets.

Hawaiians built the Hokulea and sailed on it to prove that their ancestors or theearly Hawaiians were smart enough to sail to Hawaii.
