Affront
To insult someone or something EXAMPLE:Your so fat you have your own zip code!
Allusion
To hint at something instead of saying it directly EXAMPLE: Hey! That pizza smells really good! (Hint, hint)

Buffoonery
Foolish or playful behavior. EXAMPLE: Monkeys in a cage at the zoo.
Burlesque
synonym to caricature (see caricature below)

Caricature
humor by making a person or animal have exaggerated disorders or mutations EXAMPLE:A picture of Ross Perot with elephant ears
Comparison
To compare two or more things to the same situation. EXAMPLE: "I'm hungry as a bear. In fact, I hear my stomach growling."
Contrast
To compare in respect to differences. The differences between things having a similar nature.EXAMPLE: " Not enough sense to golf in a lightning storm."
Cut
To hurt someone's feelings EXAMPLE: Your stupid!

Deride
To make fun of someone EXAMPLE: When Eddy read his speech, the students laughed and made faces at him
Denunciation
A public speech when an important person gives something a bad name.EXAMPLE Oprah gave beef a bad name.

Farce
A ridiculous situation marked by an improbable plot. EXAMPLE: Getting a pie in the face!

- G -

Gag
A remark or act that is created to make people laugh EXAMPLE: Putting shaving cream on someone's hand's and tickling their face with a feather ( so when they reach up to their face they get covered in shaving cream)
 
Gibe
To make fun of with unkind words or noises. EXAMPLE Holding something just out of someone's reach and saying nah, nah, nanah, nah.

Humor
Something that is designed to be comical or amusing.

Hyperbole

Lots of exaggeration (stretching the truth) EXAMPLE: "I'm hungry enough to eat an elephant."

- I -

Imitation
A copy of a sound, person, or thing. EXAMPLE; Chris: I love pizza! Jen: I love pizza, too!
Innuendo
A very little and weak hint. (See allusion for EXAMPLE)
 
Insult
A thing said to make someone feel bad. EXAMPLE Your so poor I saw your mama kickin' a can. I said Watcha doin?She said Movin'.
Invective
see insult (above)
Irk
To be annoying. EXAMPLE:Ba,ba,ba,ba,doo,doo,yak.yak.
Irony
To say something that is the opposite of the truth. EXAMPLE: Driving home in your brand new car and crashing.

Jest
A laughing stock, a joke, the main point in laughter.EXAMPLE: They all laughed when the man fell down.
Joke
Something said to make someone laugh. EXAMPLE: Person A:Why did the chicken cross the road? Person B: I don't know. Person A:He wanted to get to the other side.

Knock
Very harsh criticism. EXAMPLE: Your report stinks more than a skunk!

Lampoon
A put down.EXAMPLE: You run wicked slow.

Mimicry
The action of mocking someone by imitation. EXAMPLE: Pretending you are the teacher when she turns her back!

Needle
To make someone do something by making fun of them. EXAMPLE:If you don't do it, your a chicken!

To shout out.

Parody
To imitate or ridicule another. EXAMPLE: Robin Williams imitated a nanny in Mrs. Doubtfire.
Political
Humor that makes fun of our government offices,and/or officers.EXAMPLE:
Pun
Humorous use of a word in such a way as to suggest two or more of its meanings EXAMPLE: I have a hot dog!

A fast sarcastic term.

Remark
To say something of opinion or judgement EXAMPLE: I like that painting.
Repetition
In many jokes something may happen twice exactly the same way, but the third time it happens differently.

Sarcasm
To use bitter or ironic language directed at an individual.EXAMPLE: That's a great hat, to bad they don't come large enough to fit your head.
Satire
Humor that ridicules human vices.EXAMPLE:
Slapstick
Humor that involves a great deal of physical horseplay. EXAMPLE: America Funniest Home Videos

To challenge some by tempting them, insuting them, or using sarcasam. EXAMPLE: What's da matter? Doesn't da little baby wanna steal da comics?

When someone who speaks back uses fresh words.
Wit
The ability to relate things that are humorous in order to amuse. To be clever.
