Symbols on United States Money

Coins and paper money were first introduced by European settlers.

The quarter has George Washington's head and the Bald Eagle. The eagle is supposed to signal strength, while it is on a log with an olive branch, which is supposed to signal peace. The two of them together equals strength and peace.

The dime has the three tourches on it and Franklin D. Roosevelt's head on the opposite side. All the American coins say: "In God We Trust".

The American nickle has Jefferson and Jefferson's home.  Otherwise known as Monticello.

The  Penny has The Abraham Lincoln Memorial on one side and Lincoln's head on the opposite side.
