HORROR

There are a lot of horror books that have been made into movies.  Some of these include Jane eyre, Jaws, and Alice through the Looking Glass.
 There are, of course, so many more, and you can read most of their titles below.

Jane Eyre-
Jane Eyre is a book written by Charlotte Bronte in the late 1800's.  It is about a orphan girl who has a nightmare existance in the orphanage and when she grows up, is sent to be a teacher to a little girl that lives with her father in a giant castle-looking house.  There is a terrible secret behind the wailing coming from the attic, a secret that threatens her life....
           There have been at least four movies made of this story, the ones in black and white are more shadowy and gloomy and scarey..
 

Jaws-
A huge killer shark appears suddenly in Cape Cod, Massachussets.  At first the people of the town try to ignore it, but when people start to die from shark attacks, people can't pretend it's not happening anymore.
       The book, by Peter Benchley, was a best-seller; but the movie, by Steven Spielberg, had all the blood in color, plus the camera angles and sound that made the audience feel the shark sneaking up, which was very terrifying.
 

Alice Through the Looking Glass-
Some people were surprised to find this classic book by Lewis Carroll included here.  There are several movies of the story; the most famous is Walt Disney's.  But I saw a version of this when I was a little kid and it was very frightening.  It Being trapped in a weird world where nothing makes sense and you can't find your way, is like one long nightmare.
